Chris Weidman wants another shot at Luke Rockhold, sooner than later, and the new middleweight champ is advising the “All American” against it.

Although Weidman was punished and stopped by Rockhold at UFC 194 last month, the former champ has been campaigning for an immediate rematch. In fact, since it’s not clear what’s next for Yoel Romero, many believe Weidman could get his wish.

Well, recently Rockhold appeared on “The MMA Hour”, and he had this to say about Weidman’s push for a rematch (quote via MMA

“I don’t think it’s a great move. I don’t know what he [Weidman] sees,” Rockhold said. “This is not god’s will. This is not a blessing in disguise. It’s the simple fact that I’m better than him. I’ll beat him again and I’m going to put an exclamation mark on it next time…”

Rockhold has won five straight fights now since he was stopped by Vitor Belfort in 2013.
