If you’re a big fan of Jared Rosholt, and were sad to see him lose to Roy Nelson last night, well, the latter’s post-fight comments might not sit too well…

Nelson faced Rosholt in the co-headliner of UFC Fight Night 82, in what was a pivotal fight at heavyweight, particularly for “Big Country”. Nelson had lost three straight heading into the bout and five of his last six.

Well, Nelson managed to negate the wrestling game of Rosholt, and outscored the heavyweight to earn the UD win. After the bout, here is some of what Nelson had to say (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“I worked so hard on this camp. I wanted to, just, reignite the fans,” Nelson said. “I know I try to give the fans exactly what they (want). An explosion, a fun fight to watch. It’s just, I didn’t think he was going to run the whole time. I mean, Jared is a great athlete, but he’s not a fighter. And tonight I think I showed that to the UFC world, that he’s a great athlete, but man, when you’ve got a fight, you have to fight.”

Not a fighter huh? Thoughts? Rosholt, meanwhile, had this three fight winning streak come to an end.
