Henry Cejudo will need to get through one of MMA’s best, pound-for-pound fighters, but the decorated wrestler is hoping to become combat sports greatest athlete.

At the April 23rd, UFC 197, Cejudo will take on the UFC’s flyweight champ, Demetrious Johnson. Recently the former, Olympic Gold Medalist wrestler spoke to MMA Junkie.com, and relayed the following:

“Until somebody breaks my record of becoming a gold medalist and winning a UFC belt, I would consider – I would hope the people would see me as probably the greatest combat athlete to compete in the sport because of the accolades I have,” Cejudo said. “(UFC champion) Holly Holm is there, a boxing world champion and now an MMA world champion, but I feel the purity of the Olympics and the UFC belt, it would just – it’s hard to top.”

It would certainly be pretty, pretty impressive if Cejudo could add the 125 title to his resume, but he has one treacherous mountain to climb.
