Unless you’ve been living without the wonders of electricity, then you know that there’s been a ton of talk about Conor McGregor possibly moving to welterweight. Is “The Notorious” star thinking about? Yes. Yes he is.

As McGregor gets set to face lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos on March 5th, the rumor mill has been working overtime, in terms of whether the UFC might book him to fight welterweight champ, Robbie Lawler. Provided, of course, he gets by RDA.

Well, recently McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh said he could see his fighter competing at 170, and recently the featherweight champ told Severe MMA the following:

“I’m coming for that belt, I’m coming for the next belt, I’m coming for the whole company.” McGregor said.

“Why not go up?”

“They get slower, and they get less free up there, they are stiffer, they are even more stuck than the lightweight division…”

So, there you go. Can Mr. dos Anjos sideline these plans at UFC 196?
