Miesha Tate will have to get by Amanda Nunes first, but if the bantamweight champ ends up facing Ronda Rousey for a third time later this year, she insists things will go pretty differently.

The UFC has announced that Tate will battle Nunes at UFC 200 on July 9th, and will not wait on the sidelines for Rousey.  Tate was on the latest “UFC Tonight“, and during the show, she was asked whether she believes Rousey should return to a title shot.

Here is what Tate had to say (quote via FOX Sports press release):

“I think if she wants it, she should get it. She was the best for a long time. She has a tall order. I’m at the top of my game. I’m on a five-fight win streak and I have an amazing camp behind me. I’m ready to defend this thing.”

Ya, even though Rousey is coming off a KO defeat to Holly Holm, we all know the UFC is going to book Tate – Rousey III, if “Cupcake” is still champ. Rousey, who has submitted Tate twice before, is expected to return in November or December.
