Khabib Nurmagomedov’s lengthy stint on the sidelines won’t continue after all (knock on wood), as the UFC has announced that newcomer Darrell Horcher has agreed to fight the lightweight on April 16th.

The UFC was searching for a new opponent for “The Eagle”, after Tony Ferguson was recently forced to withdraw due to injury.

Nurmagomedov (22-0) hasn’t fought in nearly two years, when he decisioned Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on FOX 11 in 2014. The grappling titan has gone 6-0 to date in the UFC.

Horcher (12-1) is a Bellator vet who has won five straight fights. Stepping up on short notice to fight a dude like Nurmagomedov says a tee-un about Horcher’s toughness and determination.

UFC on FOX 19 will take place April 16th in Tampa, Florida.
