Recently Conor McGregor called his UFC colleagues “bums”, and now Khabib Nurmagomedov has fired the same insult at several big name fighters…

Nurmagomedov is preparing to fight for the first time in two years this Saturday at UFC on FOX 19, as he’ll take on Darrell Horcher. Originally “The Eagle” was supposed to fight fellow contender Tony Ferguson, but due to a lung injury, the latter had to withdraw.

When the original match-up was still in place, the consensus was that the winner could earn a title shot. After all, Ferguson has won 7 straight fights, and Nurmagmedov, well, he’s undefeated and is the last man to defeat reigning champ, Rafael dos Anjos.

But now that Nurmagomedov is taking on a UFC newcomer, it remains to be seen what will come next, if he defeats Horcher. But, according to the walking grappling clinic, he thinks a win on Saturday should propel him into a title fight. While speaking to the media recently here is what the 27 year-old had to say  (quote via MMA

“I’m undefeated all my life. Eddie Alvarez loses all the time, ‘Cowboy’ loses, Tony Ferguson loses. UFC needs somebody different. Somebody new, new level, new generation. I hope the UFC gives me a title shot after this fight because a lot of people agree with me. A lot of fans agree with me. I’m undefeated. All these bums lose all the time. Nate Diaz has lost 10 times, McGregor has lost, Tony Ferguson has lost, Eddie Alvarez, Cowboy, everybody has lost. I am undefeated. UFC needs to give me a title shot.”

No beating around the bush there huh? Will Nurmagomedov get a title shot if he takes out Horcher? Hard to say. If he scores a highlight reel win, it could be enough to secure a rematch with RDA.

UFC on FOX 19 will take place in Tampa, Florida.
