Jose Aldo has suggested that he defeated Frankie Edgar, while having an arm injury, but the latter isn’t buying it.

Aldo and Edgar fought for the first time at UFC 156 in 2013, during the height of the Brazilian star’s reign as featherweight champ. Aldo won the entertaining bout via unanimous decision.

Fast forward to today, and the two are scheduled to rematch at UFC 200 on July 9th. The fight will be for the UFC’s interim featherweight belt, following Aldo’s KO loss to Conor McGregor in December. A few weeks ago, Aldo was asked to respond to Edgar’s argument, that he won their first encounter. While dismissing the American’s theory, Aldo also said “I won that only with my left arm.”

Well, recently Edgar had this to say about Aldo, who has only fought three times since 2013 (quote via FOX

“We were supposed to fight earlier and he had a little boo-boo on his foot from a motorcycle accident and we had to reschedule. I highly doubt he’s ever fought injured,” Edgar said. “If he did, he must fight injured all the time because how much does this guy pull out of fights?”

Edgar also went on to say that he wouldn’t be “surprised” if Aldo pulled out of UFC 200. Recently, there were rumors that Aldo was indeed injured, however, the former champ has denied that’s true.

The former lightweight champ Edgar has locked up another shot at Aldo by winning five straight. In December, he took out Chad Mendes in the first round.

UFC 200 will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
