If you’re a big time fan of Alexander Gustafsson and have been wondering when and who he’ll fight next, well, today you’ve received your answer.

On Friday, the UFC announced that the light-heavyweight contender will take on Jan Blachowicz, September 3rd. The bout will be part of UFC Fight Night 93, which will go down in Hamburg, Germany.

Gustafsson (16-4) will be fighting for the first time since he lost via split decision to the champ Daniel Cormier last October. The epic fight was one of the best of 2015. The Swedish fighter is looking to end a two fight losing skid, as before facing Cormier, he was stopped by Anthony Johnson.

Blachowicz (19-5) recently returned to the win column, as he worked his way to a UD victory over Igor Pokrajac in April. The Polish fighter was decisioned by Corey Anderson and Jimi Manuwa in consecutive bouts, prior to that.

So, that’s an interesting addition to UFC FN 93, and a pivotal fight for both. In the upcoming card’s headliner, Josh Barnett will battle fellow heavyweight contender, Andrei Arlovski.
