“Jacare” Souza will not get a chance to avenge his loss to Luke Rockhold this month after all, as according to reports, the latter has withdrawn from their November 27th bout due to a knee injury.

The middleweight contenders were supposed to fight in the headliner of UFC Fight Night 101, which will go down in Melbourne, Australia (the card will air here in North America on the 26th). So far, the UFC hasn’t confirmed Rockhold’s withdrawal or relayed what’s next.

But, Souza’s manager, Gilberto Faria, has told MMA Fighting.com that they only want a bout with the champ Michael Bisping next. Could that happen? Since Chris Weidman is fighting Yoel Romero on November 12th, you would think probably not. But you never know.

Souza faced Rockhold under the Strikeforce banner in 2011 and lost via unanimous decision.
