Luke Rockhold will finally throw hands in the Octagon this year, as the UFC’s announced that he’ll take on David Branch, September 16th.

The middleweight fight will headline UFC Fight Night 116, which will go down in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Rockhold hasn’t fought now since last summer, when he was KO’d by Michael Bisping in the opening round and lost the 185 title. The AKA fighter was supposed to fight “Jacare” Souza in November, but a knee injury forced Rockhold to withdraw.

Branch, on the other hand, is coming off a split decision win over  Krzysztof Jotko in May. That fight marked the first time Branch had fought in the UFC since 2011. The former WSOF champ has won 11 in a row.

Rockhold is currently sitting in the #3 spot at 185, while Branch is ranked #9.
