Following the news that Jon Jones has been flagged for a potential doping violation, it’s been revealed that the light-heavyweight champ passed a blood test he was given, after UFC 214.

USADA has confirmed to MMA Fighting that Jones submitted a blood test, after he stopped Daniel Cormier on July 29th, and that it was negative for banned substances. The statement also notes, however, that blood tests do not screen for the anabolic steroid turinabol, which is what a pre-fight urine sample Jones provided, has been flagged for.

The statement also notes: “Mr. Jones is innocent unless and until the established process determines otherwise. It’s only fair to let due process occur before jumping to any conclusions.”

After it Jones’ USADA notification was reported, his manager denied that the fighter knowingly took any type of performance enhancing drug.
