UFC Fight Night Rotterdam is underway in the Netherlands, and main card recaps and results follow below.
In the main event, former Bellator heavyweight champ Alexander Volkov will take on fellow contender, Stefan Struve.

Leon Edwards vs Bryan Barberena
Both men came out firing kicks and punches to begin the bout. Edwards caught a kick attempt from Barberena and the fight spilled to the mat. Edwards worked his way to the back of Barberena, but was unable to lock in a finishing choke. Round two featured more clinch work, and Barberena landed several hard elbows to the head of Edwards. In the final minute of the frame, Barberena floored Edwards with a huge uppercut, but the latter managed to cover up and survive. Edwards started round three strongly, however, and landed some nice strikes. Then, the rising welterweight took Barberena down with a nicely timed takedown. Once again, Edwards worked his way to the back of Barberena and threatened with chokes, but the latter got back to his feet. Barberena planted some more elbows to the head of Edwards before the fight came to a close.

Marion Reneau vs Talita Bernardo
The fight quickly went to the floor, and both women traded submission attempts. Bernardo worked her way into the top position, and as round one came to an end, she was working from within Reneau’s guard. In round two, Renau managed to put her striking game into action, and although Bernardo scored a takedown, she was unable to keep the fight down. Before the round ended, Reneau landed a nice combo that prompted another takedown attempt from Bernardo. In round three, Bernardo landed another takedown, but she found herself defending a triangle-choke attempt. The grappling battle continued, and Reneu ended up taking the back of Bernardo. Reneau proceeded to land a series of punches from above, and the fight was stopped just seconds before the final horn was set to go.

Siyar Bahadurzada vs Rob Wilkinson
Wilkinson pressed forward out of the gate, and Bahadurzada fired back with heavy punches. Wilkinson scored a takedown midway through the round, but Bahadurzada popped right back up. Bahadurzada blasted Wilkinson with a kick to the body, which prompted another TD attempt. Bahadurzada countered with a choke attempt but Wilkinson defended. Before the round ended Wilkinson landed a knee to the head of Bahadurzada. Round two featured more striking exchanges, and Bahadurzada planted a hard right hand that had Wilkinson looking to take the fight down again. Bahadurzada tagged Wilkinson with a hard combo not long after, and following a series of additional punches, the fight was stopped. Huge win for Bahadurzada.

Alexander Volkov vs Stefan Struve
Volkov came out firing a steady stream of leg kicks, while Struve countered with some nice jabs and knees to the body. The fight spilled to the floor, after Struve attempted a leg kick, but Volkov let him back up. Not long after, Struve tagged Volkov with a nice combo. Late in the round, Struve landed a flying knee that cut Volkov under the left eye, but the latter countered with a TD. Before the round ended, the former Bellator champ landed a series of shots from above.
Struve appeared to be more confident in round two, and pressed forward more often. Volkov planted a hard, straight right midway through the round, which rocked Struve’s head backwards. Volkov stepped up his attacks, but took a second, poke to the eye. Volkov started switching up his stance more often, and planted some nice left straights.
The two continued to kickbox, but Volkov was getting the better of the exchanges. The Russian fighter sent Struve to the deck with a beautiful combo, and the fight was called. Very impressive win for Volkov.
