John Lineker hasn’t thrown his heavy hands in the Octagon thus far in 2017, but it looks like that’s going to change next month.

According to a report from Combate, and a follow up report from MMA Fighting, Lineker is going to battle bantamweight Marlon Vera at the UFC’s October 28th card in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Lineker has been sidelined for much of the year, due to a fractured jaw he incurred in his bout with TJ Dillashaw last December. The Brazilian slugger had won six in a row prior to the loss.

Vera, on the other hand, has fought twice in 2017 and has earned wins over Brian Kelleher and Brad Pickett. The Ecuadorian fighter has won three straight.

UFC Fight Night 119 will be hosted by the Ibirapuera Gymnasium, and will feature Lyoto Machida vs. Derek Brunson in the headliner.
