There’s been a lot of talk later about Chuck Liddell returning to the cage, and doing so with Bellator. But, according to the promotion’s President Scott Coker, Liddell will have to go through a series of tests before Bellator considers booking him to fight.
While discussing the prospect of Liddell signing with the promotion, Coker told MMA Junkie the following:
“I’d have to talk to Viacom about it,” Coker said. “He’d have to go through a battery of tests, and it would be a longer process than he would be fighting in January.”
“I’ve got to reach out and see if (Liddell would) like to do some fan fest stuff for us and be in the community, but that’s it,” Coker added “There’s no fight for him.”
Coker also reportedly relayed that he hasn’t talked to Liddell about him launching a comeback with Bellator. The 47 year-old, legendary fighter hasn’t competed since 2010.
