Since news of Volkan Oezdemir‘s arrest surfaced, there’s been a lot of discussion as to whether he’ll fight for the light-heavyweight title next. But, UFC President Dana White has reportedly said that “No Time” will likely still be next for champion, Daniel Cormier.

Oezdemir was arrested for aggravated battery, causing bodily harm or disability, for his alleged involvement in a bar room altercation. The fighter’s manager has claimed that Oezdemir was not the aggressor, and that he believes the Swiss fighter will be vindicated.

White attended a media luncheon recently in Las Vegas, and according to a  report from MMA Fighting, he said that Oezdemir will “probably” still receive a title shot next.

The 28 year-old Oezdemir is coming off three straight wins in the UFC, and back-to-back, KO victories over Misha Cirkunov and Jimi Manuwa.

Cormier polled his fans a while back on social media, and asked who they wanted to see him fight next. “DC” proceeded to report that the majority said Oezdemir.
