There’s been a lot of talk and speculation as to when Georges St-Pierre will fight next, but it looks like the UFC’s middleweight champ won’t be fighting in the near future.

The reason being that following the TUF 26 Finale last night in Las Vegas, Dana White confirmed to the media that the Canadian star has colitis. According to, colitis is “inflammation of the inner lining of the colon. There are numerous causes of colitis including infection, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis), ischemic colitis, allergic reactions, and microscopic colitis.”

White didn’t offer any details regarding the severity of St-Pierre’s condition, but he did note that the former welterweight champ is “out for a minute”.

GSP returned to the cage last month, for the first time since 2013, and choked out Michael Bisping to become the middleweight champ. Here’s hoping the star has a fast recovery and isn’t sidelined for too long.
