Alistair Overeem suffered a vicious, knockout loss at the hands of Francis Ngannou on Saturday, but the heavyweight’s reporting that he’s “all healthy”.
Ngannou blasted Overeem with a vicious, left uppercut in the opening round, which appeared to KO the heavyweight contender before he hit the mat. Following UFC 218, Overeem tweeted out the statement below:
No damage and all healthy thankfully.. unfortunately lost today. Props to @francis_ngannou, I got hit with a uppercut from he**, one of his specialities which we new were very dangerous. Some chill time now before back to the drawing-board 🙏🏽

It’s good to hear that Overeem’s okay, and it will be interesting to see what comes next for the Dutch star. Last night’s loss marked the second time in just over a year that Overeem has been KO’d. In September, 2016, the 37 year-old was knocked out by the ruling champ, Stipe Miocic.
