There’s been a lot of talk about Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou throwing hands in recent days, and now it’s being reported the fight is planned for UFC 220.

Ngannou quickly bombed out fellow heavyweight contender, Alistair Overeem last weekend at UFC 218, and in doing so, locked up a title shot. According to MMA Junkie, the UFC is targeting it’s January 20th card in Boston for the fight. Another report from MMA Fighting, following MMA Junkie’s, is also reporting that Miocic will look to defend the heavyweight title against Ngannou on that date.

Miocic will be fighting for the first time since May, when he avenged a 2014 loss to Junior dos Santos, by stopping the former champ.

Miocic is riding a five fight winning streak heading into UFC 220, while Ngannou has won ten in a row.
