Recent comments from Floyd Mayweather sparked speculation that he may have actually reached out to the UFC about fighting in the Octagon, and now Dana White has apparently confirmed to Joe Rogan that’s indeed the case…Say what now?

During a recent Q&A with fans, Mayweather said that if “I want to”, he could sign with the UFC and make a “billion dollars”. The undefeated boxer also referred to being called, but it wasn’t entirely clear if he was talking about UFC brass. Further, since Mayweather has never fought in MMA, and because he’s 40 year’s old, not a lot folks were likely taking the comments too seriously.

Well, during a recent episode of Rogan’s MMA podcast, the veteran commentator and martial artist reported this (quote via MMA Mania):

“Floyd talked about it. This is one thing I can tell you,” Rogan said. “Dana told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC. Like legitimately. I texted him, I go ‘Is Floyd really talking about fighting MMA?’ He goes ‘Yeah, he’s f**king crazy. I told him he’d get killed. But he’s still talking about doing it.”

Now, while this is definitely crazy to hear, it’s still hard to imagine this happening. Would Mayweather really be willing to risk getting pounded out or choked in the cage?
