The 38 year-old Bisping reported last year that he didn’t intend to fight much longer, and before he fought Kelvin Gastelum in November, he targeted the March 17th card for his retirement fight. Now Brad Tavares has offered to fight the former middleweight champ in his homeland:
What's up @bisping I know you're looking for a fight in England. Respectfully, I would like to share the octagon with you, and show the English fans how Hawaiians get down!!! @danawhite @Mickmaynard2 @ufc
— Brad Tavares (@BradTavares) January 5, 2018
It’s certainly an intriguing match-up, especially due to the striking abilities of both men, and because Tavares has won three in a row.
As it stands right now, however, the UFC hasn’t announced anything official, in terms of whether Bisping will compete on the card. The British star was quickly KO’d by Gastelum, and some have questioned whether Bisping should fight again this soon.
