Conor McGregor continues to take fire from various observers for having not defended the UFC’s lightweight title yet, and one of the latest people to join that camp is Cris “Cyborg”.

McGregor hasn’t fought under the UFC banner now since November, 2016, when he took out Eddie Alvarez to secure the lightweight crown. Following McGregor’s loss to boxing star Floyd Mayweather in August, the fighter has said he intends to defend the belt. But, as we approach February, there’s no word as to when and if that will happen.

Well, recently “Cyborg” was a guest on the Domenick Nati Show, and the UFC’s featherweight champ said this about McGregor, as well as Ronda Rousey (quote via MMA Mania):

“I think you see already Ronda Rousey,” Cyborg said. “Everyone think she is the best fight ever, ever pound for pound, and then you see when she fight real fighters, she has a hard time. And then, maybe McGregor. He’s never seen fighting one guy who’s tough, I would like to see him fight “Jacare” (Souza) and fight Khabib (Nurmagomedov). And McGregor has a big name but you don’t know, we don’t see him in real fight, with tough guys in MMA.”

“…McGregor only wants to come back when he can win. And this is not helping the sport growing.”

Well, obviously McGregor isn’t going to fight “Jacare” – a middleweight contender – but here’s hoping we see him face Nurmagomedov at some point.
