Former light heavyweight champions Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Lyoto Machida will meet in the main event of UFC 123 on Nov. 20 at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, Michigan, UFC President Dana White confirmed to MMAFighting on Wednesday.

The matchup between “Rampage” and Machida was first reported in July.

Jackson (30-8) earned back-to-back wins over Wanderlei Silva and Keith Jardine before returning from a 14-month layoff with a loss to Rashad Evans in May, while Machida (16-1) lost the title with a first-round KO to “Shogun” Rua in May in his first career loss.

Rory MacDonald vs. Matt Brown is also rumored for the UFC 123 fight card.
