Not only did Brian Ortega score the biggest win of his career tonight at UFC 222, he made history, by becoming the first man to stop Frankie Edgar.

Ortega stayed busy with his jab from the get go, while Edgar, as per usual, came with a lot of movement. Later in the opening frame, Ortega cracked Edgar with a beautifully timed elbow, which wobbled the former lightweight champ.

Moments later, the featherweight sent Edgar to the deck with a massive, follow up punch. After Ortega landed a couple more punches, the fight was stopped. Edgar had never been finished until tonight.

Massive, massive win for Ortega.
