Edgar took on Brian Ortega at the event, who was a replacement for the injured, featherweight champ Max Holloway. Although the champ isn’t expected to be sidelined for long, Edgar wanted to stay busy, and elected to take the bout with Ortega.

As you know, Ortega tagged Edgar with a vicious, standing elbow in the first, and finished the legend with follow up punches. In “The Thrill & The Agony” preview posted below, cameras follow the ecstatic Ortega’s friends and family, as well as Edgar’s devastated corner, after the fight was stopped.
