Jose Aldo may be coming off consecutive losses, but clearly he’s looking for an easy fight next, as the legend is calling for a bout with Jeremy Stephens.
Aldo is looking to get back on track, after being stopped by featherweight champ Max Holloway, in back-to-back fights. Aldo lost the 145 title to Holloway last June, and then in their December rematch, he was stopped again by the Hawaiian star.
Well, recently the Brazilian appeared on Revista Combate TV, and Aldo reportedly relayed this, about Stephens (quote via MMA Fighting):
“I asked to fight him, he asked to fight me, so it will be a great fight,” Aldo said. “I’m waiting for them to set it up.”
Aldo – Stephens sound about right no? Not only does it have the potential to be a barn burner, considering the roll Stephens is on (controversy aside), it makes a lot of sense rankings wise.
