Nick Newell is certainly doing his best in and out of the cage to earn a UFC contract, as following his latest win this weekend, the lightweight’s kicked off a “Newell to UFC” drive.
Newell returned to competition for the first time since 2015 this past weekend, and submitted Sonny Luque. The bout was part of LFA 35, and with the win, Newell pushed his record to 14-1.
Since then, the 31 year-old fighter, who is a congenital amputee, has shared out the social media post below.

Newell’s only defeat to date came against current UFC lightweight contender, Justin Gaethje.
