If you’re new to MMA and are wondering why Tim Boetsch is nicknamed “The Barbarian”, then the highlights below will provide you with some jaw dropping evidence, as to why.
In advance of Boetsch’s bout tomorrow night with Antonio Carlos Jr., the UFC’s posted likely his greatest win to date. That victory went down in 2012, when Okami was one of the top middleweights in the UFC, and was just one fight removed from a loss to then champ, Anderson Silva.
Okami punished Boetsch for much of the opening two rounds. But in round three, “The Barbarian” came out, winging big strikes, and put the contender away with vicious uppercuts.
Interestingly enough, Okami is also booked to fight tomorrow night, as he’ll take on Dhiego Lima at UFC on FOX 29.
