Alex Oliveira stepped up on short notice to fight Carlos Condit tonight at UFC on FOX 29, and he ended up recording the biggest win of his career.

Oliveira pressured Condit from the opening horn, and after several exchanges, he took the former WEC champ to the mat. Condit was able to reverse the position, however, and scored some shots from above before the first round ended.

In round two, Oliveira bloodied Condit with some hard elbows, and took the welterweight veteran down once again. In an ensuing scramble, Oliveira caught Condit with a big upkick and a guillotine choke, which ultimately forced the latter to tap.
