It looks like Glover Teixeira has his next bout set, as it’s being reported he’ll battle fellow light-heavyweight contender, Ilir Latifi, July 22nd.

MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani has reportedly confirmed with sources that the bout will be part of the Hamburg, Germany card, after reports from Kimura.se and Combate.

Teixeira (27-6) will be fighting for the first time since December, when he took out Misha Cirkunov. Prior to that, Teixeira was taken out by Alexander Gustafsson last May. The perennial contender has gone 3-2 in his last 5 bouts.

Latifi (14-5), meanwhile, has scored consecutive wins over Ovince Saint Preux and Tyson Pedro, and is 4-1 in his last 5 scraps.

So, this is a compelling, pivotal bout at 205, as Teixeira is currently ranked #3 and Latifi is #4.

The upcoming Hamburg card will be headlined by a bout between #7 ranked light-heavyweight “Shogun” Rua and the #2 positioned, Volkan Oezdemir.
