Following the recent news that Fabricio Werdum has been notified of a pontential, anti-doping violation, the former heavyweight champ has released a statement.

Recently it was reported that Werdum was going to fight Alexey Oleynik at the UFC’s September 15th card in Moscow, Russia. That was before, however, the promotion announced that Werdum has been flagged by USADA. No details regarding the possible, anti-doping violation have been disclosed.

Well, since then, “Vai Calvalho” shared out the comments below regarding the development:

➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Hey guys, I got up this morning to the news that one of my urine samples from April tested positive for a prohibited substance. I am working with my team, the UFC and USADA to understand what happened. I’ve always been careful with everything I take and I’ve always supported a clean sport. We will work hard to solve this misunderstanding and I hope soon to be able to go back to the octagon and do what I love
