Curtis Blaydes demonstrated once again at UFC 225 why he’s one of the promotion’s fastest rising heavyweights, and he did so, in gory fashion.

Blaydes took on decorated heavyweight, Alistair Overeem, in the final bout of the televised prelims. Overeem threatened with some big strikes early on, but Blaydes’ wrestling game kicked into gear, and he repeatedly took the veteran down.

After scoring another takedown in round three, Blaydes opened up with a flurry of vicious elbow from above, which battered and bloodied Overeem before the bout was stopped.

Here are the results so far for UFC 225.
