Alistair Overeem has been brutally stopped in consecutive fights, but the decorated heavyweights has made it clear he’ll be back in the cage.
Overeem took on the rising Curtis Blaydes at UFC 225, and was viciously KO’d and bloodied by the latter’s elbows in round three. The bout marked the first time Overeem was competing, since he was quickly knocked out by Francis Ngannou in January.
More recently Overeem shared out the image and comments below.
“The greatest test of courage is to bear defeat without losing heart”. I would like to thank you all for supporting me through thick and thin. Huge thanks to my team and everyone involved!
I will be back, I always come back. Congrats to @razorblaydes265 on his big win! pic.twitter.com/2mwZPW5ZAu

It will be interesting to see when and who Overeem faces in his next bout. One would think, however, on account of back-to-back stoppages, the 38 year-old will be on the sidelines for a little while.
