Paulo Costa’s rise up the middleweight ranks continued tonight at UFC 226, as the Brazilian fighter finished Uriah Hall in a very entertaining scrap.

Hall repeatedly tagged Costa with a crisp jab in the opening round, while the latter kept firing off hard kicks to the body and big right hands. The action was halted at two points in the opening frame, as a result of low blows that Hall took.

Costa continued to pressure in round and winged in huge hooks to the head and body. At one point, it looked like Costa was clipped by a Hall counter, but not long after, the rising middleweight finished the bout with a vicious flurry of punches. Huge win for Costa.
