It remains to be seen if the UFC’s interested in having TJ Dillashaw and Henry Cejudo fight, but the champs are off and running, in terms of campaigning for the bout.

After Cejudo ended Demetrious Johnson’s historic reign as flyweight champ at UFC 227, he relayed he would go up to face Dillashaw for the 135 crown. The latter, however, shot down that idea, and has since said he’d drop to 125 to face Cejudo.

Dillashaw defended the bantamweight title at UFC 227 by taking out Cody Garbrandt for a second time. Could this fight happen? Maybe. It could be that the UFC’s exploring interest in the match-up, and thus, today’s appearance.
