After months of talk and speculation as to whether a superfight between Cris “Cyborg” and Amanda Nunes will happen, it’s been confirmed that the bout is a go.

Dana White has informed ESPN that the champions will fight at UFC 232, December 29th in Las Vegas. In addition, the featherweight champ herself, has posted the picture below:

This news comes not long after “Cyborg” pushed for a bout with the bantamweight champ to take place in September, rather than the end of the year. Since “Cyborg” hasn’t fought since March, when she stopped Yana Kunitskaya, the renowned fighter said she didn’t want to wait that long before fighting again.

Nunes, meanwhile, competed in May and defended the bantamweight title by stopping Raquel Pennington in round five.

This a pretty big bout to end the UFC’s 2019 campaign on, no question.
