It looks like Lyoto Machida is heading to Hawaii to make his Bellator debut.

According to a report from ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, the former UFC champ will battle former Bellator middleweight champ, Rafael Carvalho, December 15th. The fight will be part of a card Bellator is holding at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu.

Flyweight champ, and Hawaii’s own, Ilima-Lei Macfarlane will take on Valerie Letourneau in the headliner.

Machida (24-8) will be competing for the first time since May, when he knocked out Vitor Belfort at UFC 224.

Carvalho (15-2) will be looking to get back on track, as he was taken out by current champ, Gegard Mousasi, in May.

A bout between Ed Ruth and Neiman Gracie is also set for the upcoming event. The contest will be part of the opening round of Bellator’s welterweight grand-prix.
