The MMA world is still buzzing from the news of an abnormal finding in a drug test administered to Jon Jones, and the fighter is insisting he’s clean via a new statement.
Yesterday it was announced that a recent drug test administered to Jones indicates the presence of a the metabolite he was flagged for last year. USADA has concluded that the test’s result is tied to that case, and accordingly, the California Commission has granted Jones a license to complete (further, the California Commission oversaw Jones’ case in 2017). Since the Nevada Commission has not, UFC 232 and Jones’ bout with Alexander Gustafsson has been moved to L.A.
More recently, the former light-heavyweight champ posted the statement below.

I am focused on achieving my ultimate goal of reclaiming my Light Heavyweight title. I have willingly submitted to every USADA test in the lead up to this fight and USADA has confirmed what I’ve been saying all along, that I’m a clean athlete. I sincerely thank the California State Athletic Commission and Andy Foster for doing the right thing and supporting me through this process. I cannot wait to fight Alex Gustafsson this Saturday December 29th at the Los Angeles Forum in Inglewood.
