Hours after the UFC announced its new TV deal with Fox, the first fight has been booked for the UFC’s Fox debut, as featherweights Dustin Poirier and Pablo Garza have agreed to square off at the November 12 event in Anaheim, California.

Fresh off a 53-second KO in his final WEC bout, Poirier (10-1) upset contender Josh Grispi in his Octagon debut in January before pushing his win streak to three-straight over Jason Young at UFC 131 in June.

Garza (11-1) was eliminated by eventual runner-up Michael Johnson on TUF 12 then suffered a first-round submission in his WEC debut, but has gone 2-0 in the UFC with wins over Fredson Paixao and Yves Jabouin, which earned Knockout and Submission of the Night honors respectively.

No main event has been announced for UFC on Fox 1, but former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is not in the running despite declaring himself healthy on Thursday as he’s still targeted for a January return.
