Rafaello Oliveira

A hand injury has forced Brazilian lightweight Rafaello Oliveira out of his matchup against Swedish newcomer Reza Madadi that was slated for UFC on FX 1 on January 20 in Nashville, Tennessee, Oliveira announced Thursday.

Oliveira (14-5), who fights out of Knoxville, Tenn., went 1-2 in his first stint with the UFC before returning after four-straight wins, but has since suffered back-to-back losses to Gleison Tibau and Yves Edwards. Madadi (11-2) has won six in a row, including wins over notables Junie Browning, Carlos Prater, and Rich Clementi.

UFC on FX 1 is headlined by lightweights Melvin Guillard and Jim Miller and also features heavyweights Pat Barry vs. Christian Morecraft and welterweights Duane “Bang” Ludwig vs. Josh Neer.
