After impressing in his featherweight debut, Ross Pearson is set to return to the Octagon at 145 pounds. He will make his return against Cub Swanson at UFC on FX 4 in Atlantic City on June 22nd. The event will take place at the Regal Casino in downtown Atlantic City.

Pearson (13-5), The Ultimate Fighter season 9 winner at lightweight, defeated Junior Assuncao in his featherweight debut at UFC 141 last December. Pearson made the drop to 145 pounds after losing to Edson Barboza at UFC 134 in August. He was 4-2 in 6 career fights in the UFC at lightweight, which included wins over Dennis Siver and Spencer Fisher.

The Brit will take on Swanson (16-5), who is coming off a highlight reel knockout of George Roop at UFC on Fox 2 in January. The longtime WEC veteran finally earned his first UFC victory with that TKO, after losing his debut in November. The Californian has long struggled with injuries, with Swanson suffering a year-long layoff from his final WEC fight to his UFC debut.

UFC on FX 4 will be headlined by a lightweight showdown between two top contenders in Gray Maynard and Clay Guida.
