Rory MacDonaldAfter a fantastic night of fights at UFC on Fox 4 there was some unfortunate bad news as talented welterweight prospect Rory MacDonald has been forced out of his UFC 152 matchup with BJ Penn. UFC President Dana White announced the move after the UFC on Fox 4 press conference. The UFC President confirmed that a replacement for MacDonald will be sought.

The talented Canadian prospect apparently suffered a severe cut in training and will not be allowed to train for a month. The cut apparently required forty stitches to close the wound. MacDonald was in the midst of three-fight winning streak, after losing to interim champion Carlos Condit, and hoping to vault himself into title contention with a win over Penn.

UFC 152 takes place September 22 live from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The card will be headlined by the inaugural flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson and Joe Benavidez. The card will also feature a bout between middleweight contenders Michael Bisping and Brian Stann.
