Injuries continue to plague the UFC as Thiago Bodao finds himself out of a UFC on FX 7 middleweight tilt with Michael Kuiper. Filling in for the TUF Brazil veteran will be countryman Caio Magalhaes.

Kuiper (12-1) is coming off of a dismantling of Jared Hamman at UFC 150, in a bout that saw that Dutchman badly injure his opponent’s leg with kicks, tearing his hamstring. The win over the American helped “Judo” rebound from a loss to Rafael Natal in his promotional debut.

Magalhaes (5-1) looks to right the ship after dropping a unanimous decision to Buddy Roberts in his UFC debut at UFC on FX 3. The Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt was unable to take his opponent to the ground for the much of the bout, earning just two takedowns in 15 attempts.

UFC on FX 7 takes place January 19 in Sao Paolo, Brazil, and features Vitor Belfort taking on Michael Bisping in the main event.
