Bellator’s second event on Spike TV, Bellator 86, will see welterweight champion Ben Askren taking on 2012 Summer Series Winner Karl Amoussou, as well as a myriad of other named talent as the promotion takes the WinStar outside of Dallas, Texas.

Askren (10-0) has held the welterweight strap for two years. The Mizzou wrestler has defeated the likes of Jay Hieron, Nick Thompson, Jay Hieron, and Douglas Lima inside the Bellator cage. Amoussou (16-4) has been a man possessed since dropping a split contentious split decision to Sam Alvey in 2011. The Frenchman is on a four-fight run, three of which coming by stoppage. “Psycho” most recently took a “Submission of the Year” contender with a spinning heel hook that forced Bryan Baker to tap in just 56 seconds.

Also on the bill will be the debut of former Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion “King Mo” Lawal, as well as welterweights Ben Saunders and Douglas Lima. While their opponents have not been announced, all bouts are likely to be part of the season’s tournaments.
