Michael Bisping is aiming to return this fall for the UFC’s planned trip to Manchester. The British middleweight has his sights set on facing off with Costa Philippou, and Philippou seems more than willing to oblige. The potential bout was brought up by UFC Tonight’s Ariel Helwani on last night’s show.

Said Helwani:

“Bisping is shooting for a return around October, and the UFC is going to Manchester later this year. Bisping wants to fight on that card. He was hoping to fight Cung Le, but that’s not going to happen, so team Bisping wants to fight Costa Philippou. Costa’s management loves this fight.”

The UFC is currently planning a return to Manchester this fall, though specific details are sparse at this time. Details for the targeted event are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, and depending on the broadcast details, Bisping-Philippou could end up headlining the card.
